We are a 6-piece Scottish function band specialising in
weddings, functions, and private events.
Splendid Question are a pop-focused, six-piece private function band based in Edinburgh, Scotland, playing at parties, weddings, and corporate events across the UK.
All trained professional musicians, we add our own unique signature twist to a large repetoire of well-known pop songs that everyone can sing and dance along to.

WHAT MAKES US SPLENDID?
We have an awesome lineup. Our core group is female vocals, male vocals, keys, electric guitar, electric bass, drums and saxophone!
We don't just play the classics. You're as likely to hear us play modern top-40 tracks like "Juice" or "Just Got Paid" as you are "Valerie" or "500 Miles". We will tailor our setlist to the event and we can add specific tracks on request. Just get in contact!
We put our own spin on the tracks. We play real instruments (keys, guitar, bass, drums, voice x2) and we make modern music feel real. We add a splash of funk to everything, to make sure the dancefloor is always full.
We're self-sufficient. We can provide high-quality PA speakers and microphones, along with stage lighting, to really put on a high-quality show. When we've finished playing, we can also provide a DJ set for no extra charge. You can also use our PA system for your own music and speeches, saving you the hire fee.
We're young. We're all aged between 20-30 – we know what songs young people want to hear, and how to play them!

FAQs
How would an evening performance work at my event?
When performing at private events, we will generally perform 2x or 3x 45 minute sets with a break in between.
For example:
2000 – Set 1 Starts
2045 – Break
2115 – Set 2 Starts
2200 – End
These timings and durations are totally flexible – we'll find something that fits you and your event.
What about soundcheck?
To ensure we give the best sounding performance possible, we require a 1hr soundcheck in the same venue prior to playing – this gives us a chance to setup our equipment and adjust our mix to the acoustics of the space. Once this is done, we're all set up, so when it's time for the band to start, there's no delay. And, in the meantime, you'll be able to use our PA system for your own music and speeches.

We are based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and we can travel anywhere :-)
